The Boston Celtics are one win away from the 2024 NBA title after defeating the Dallas Mavericks 107-89 in Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Tuesday night. Despite a spirited comeback attempt from the Mavericks, Boston held on to take a commanding 3-0 series lead.
The Celtics were led by Jayson Tatum, who had 28 points and 10 rebounds. Jaylen Brown added 26 points, and Robert Williams III contributed 20 points and 12 rebounds.
The Mavericks were led by Luka Doncic, who had 26 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists. Kristaps Porzingis added 25 points and 11 rebounds.
The Celtics took an early lead in the game, but the Mavericks fought back to tie the score at 43-43 at halftime. Dallas continued to fight in the second half, but Boston eventually pulled away for the win.
Game 4 of the series will be played in Dallas on Thursday night. The Celtics will be looking to close out the series and win their 18th NBA championship.
